8 startups. 1 IPO. 2 exits. 10+ years of AI/ML. No legacy headcount. No legacy stack.

Joe Monastiero

Serial entrepreneur with a proven track record across consumer software, media, and AI. Founded Intervideo in 1999 — grew WinDVD to over 200 million copies shipped, took the company public on NASDAQ, and was later acquired by Corel. Went on to co-found AppMobi, acquired by Intel.

Spent more than a decade in AI/ML research focused on computer vision and multimodal product understanding. Now applying that depth to build visualAI: the AI-native product discovery platform that every e-commerce merchant needs but that nobody has built yet.

AI-first from day one — no legacy headcount, no legacy stack, no compromise on what the AI commerce era demands.

34-Claim Patent — US & International

USPTO Application No. 19/211,109 — 34 claims, 4 independent. Two inventive concepts: a multi-modal product search system combining text and color into weighted-similarity retrieval (claims 1, 11 — core of shopperGPT) and an LLM-driven catalog enrichment pipeline that generates embeddings from product data and images (claims 21, 28). Image similarity at runtime is implemented in shopperGPT and described in the patent specification.

International protection is now underway: a PCT international patent application (PCT/US26/28432, “Systems and Methods for Multi-Modal Product Searching”) was filed May 15, 2026, extending the same invention beyond the US.

This represents 10+ years of AI/ML research in computer vision and product understanding, distilled into a patent filed May 2025 covering the novel technical architecture that enables simultaneous text, color, and image-based product retrieval at scale. shopperGPT is a registered USPTO trademark (Reg. No. 7,708,709); catalogGPT and cleanerGPT trademarks are filed and pending.

Mission

Most storefront search is still a keyword box from 2005 — shoppers who can't find what they want leave, taking the discovery, the relationship, and the margin with them. We're fixing that first: AI-native search, virtual try-on, and discovery that convert the shoppers already on your store. Agentic visibility — showing up inside ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity — rides on the same platform, table stakes we fully support, not the whole story. Built for every merchant, at every scale.
